The KaramKaari Shirt
Product details
The craft has a name. This is it.
The Karamkaari Shirt is Drop 003 from KaramKar — and it is the most considered piece the brand has made yet. Named after kalamkaari, the centuries-old Indian tradition of hand-painting and block-printing intricate florals onto cloth, and after KaramKar itself, this shirt is where the brand's identity and India's craft legacy become one.
The base is a rich, deep indigo — the colour of night sky, of old denim, of ink. Across it runs a dense, all-over kalamkari-inspired print: winding paisley vines, large lotus and floral medallions, botanical leaves and buds in gold, teal, sage green and cream. The kind of print that gets richer the longer you look at it. The kind of fabric that carries history.
Cut in an oversized silhouette with a camp collar that sits wide and open, the Karamkaari wears effortlessly — open over a plain white tee, or buttoned up with tailored trousers. The cotton-linen blend keeps it light and breathable through Indian summers while the weight of the print gives it presence in any room.
The करम RAK woven label sits inside the collar — a quiet reminder of who made it and why.
